Pipped at the Post
Sunday 11th February, 2007 saw the first rugby international played in Croke Park in Dublin (a GAA ground) and thanks to Siobhan for securing some much sought after tickets, I was there to witness this special occasion. Unfortunately Ireland lost the match in the last 2 minutes of play when France went over for a try and the game ended 17 - 20 to France. But still it was great to be there win or no win. Here's hoping we'll win the next game we play in Croke Park. Bring on the English!

Great day out, pity about the result, we "nearly" beat them.
A foreign sport in Croke Park - history in the making and I'd have loved to have been there (or see it on telly even). Next one I'll watch for sure - England in Croke Park without the armored cars!
Is that the Artane Boy's Band in the picture or did they not get the gig?
That's the Garda AND Army band combined - they went all out. The Artane boys band got the half time gig though. Bookmakers have favourite odds for a 19 - 16 victory to Ireland against England!
I really enjoyed the day in Croke Park despite the final score. Looking forward to watching the game versus England this weekend hoping the score will be more favourable for the Irish. What are the chances of scoring some similar tickets for the Scottish game next year I wonder!
