Weekend Break

We spent the weekend with friends in Killarney and stayed in a great hotel overlooking the Lakes. While the hotel was special - the company was even better. Trying to keep up with friends is getting harder and harder with everyone so busy at home and work but once a year we put aside a weekend where we all get together and catch up. We had a full turn out this year and to make the weekend even sweeter Ireland had a great result in the rugby.

Friends - we don't get to chat every day or see each other every week anymore but we're still there for each other and knowing that is all that matters. Although the piss up is a must every now and then!

Yes, the IRFU are selling off Lansdowne Road bit by bit (or blade by blade). That's everyone's birthday present sorted for this year.

Mmmmm Pancakes

Isn't it amazing how Pancake Tuesday always falls on a Tuesday.

Happy fasting.

Pipped at the Post

Sunday 11th February, 2007 saw the first rugby international played in Croke Park in Dublin (a GAA ground) and thanks to Siobhan for securing some much sought after tickets, I was there to witness this special occasion. Unfortunately Ireland lost the match in the last 2 minutes of play when France went over for a try and the game ended 17 - 20 to France. But still it was great to be there win or no win. Here's hoping we'll win the next game we play in Croke Park. Bring on the English!
