Catch up

We're still alive and well and can't believe it's been AUGUST since we last updated the blog. I guess we've been busy. Or just plain lazy. Anyway, a quick catch up on our lives:

September saw the Lowe clan gather in Killarney for the folks 50th wedding anniversary. Great weekend had by all and now it's so rare we are all together it's a great treat not only for Mam & Dad but for all of us.

October was Jamie's nieces wedding in Glasgow, another great occasion and I have never been at a wedding and saw a happier groom - he had a grin on his face all day long (check it out in the photos) and he is so obviously besotted it brought a tear to my eye. No, that wasn't the long vodkas.

November was our second trip to Glasgow with the Moriartys and I hope this will turn into an annual event - does 2 years running make it an annual event yet? It won't be long until all the children will be going to the pub and we'll be left behind watching a movie!

December and Jamie's sister managed to get another daughter off her hands and we were delighted to be able to attend the celebrations at the last minute. Another great night out in Glasgow (even in the freezing temps).

January and we're recovering from a good ol' christmas where we managed to visit everyone at some stage which brought us to Limerick, Celbridge and Washington DC. (sorry no photos of Celbridge - I obviously didn't take out the camera) Oh, and we took in a trip to New York - five year's after Jamie's original plan to get there but better late than never. We had a fantastic time and hope to go back to see the rest of the city very soon.

Next weekend we have a work dinner dance so an excuse to get dressed up which is always welcome in dark and gloomy January.
