Cake for One

Being a weight watcher I bought J a cake for one for his birthday, I felt bad cos it was so small so I used a large cookie as a plate! Needless to say he ate them both.

A romantic break

Thanks to a friend's wedding gift, we got to spend Saturday night in the fantastic Moy House in Lahinch, Co Clare. We booked it some time ago and it turned out to be perfect timing as the weeks leading up to Christmas are going to be pretty hectic for us. It was lashing when we arrived in Lahinch which was ideal because once you get into this house you really don't want to leave it again until you have to (if you look at the photo closely you will see our jeans hanging to dry on the window seat - rain sodden from a short walk from the car to O'Looneys pub in Lahinch before we checked in). I couldn't fault anything about this place, when you arrive they give you a tour of the house (a nine bedroom guest house) and you have the run of the place - they make it a home away from home if you like but you get to play house in a very beautiful home and there is no housework or cooking involved so it's a great game and one I would recommend to anyone who gets a chance to play it.

Breakfast Tray

A night out on Saturday night with a start time of 6:30pm seems like a great idea. Until you wake up the next morning. Check out our breakfast tray for Sunday morning........drugs as a side dish. And of course the reason behind the need for drugs was all that cheap drink!

Family Holiday

3 weeks from next Wednesday I go an my annual trip to visit my sister and her family. This year my mother is also travelling and conversation last night lead to my father joining us and we soon discovered that he was only happy to join us after confirming with the doc that he was fit to travel (once I heard he'd even asked his doc about this I knew he'd be coming). I checked the availability and prices last night and told him to sleep on it and first thing this morning his credit card was handed over and the flight was booked.

So I'm going on holidays with my folks. I hope that shrimp and FULL boiled egg is still at that great price. T - stock up that liquor cabinet and try and get your hands on some valium. Your sister and both parents are coming to town.
